How Sound.xyz uses Splits to build a better future for musicians

What problem does Sound use Splits to solve?#

We use Splits to automatically distribute earnings from both primary and secondary NFT sales. More often than not creating music is a collaborative process, and Splits makes it incredibly easy to pay each musician their share. We trust Splits to handle the entire payment flow so that we can focus on what we do best—building the best product for artists and collectors.

How has Sound integrated Splits?#

Whenever an artist creates a new song, they can input the addresses and shares for all of the people who worked on it with them. The Sound Protocol then sends all earnings from the NFTs to the Split so that each collaborator gets their share.

How has your experience been so far?#

Using Splits is a no brainer. Integration was quick and it’s saved our artists a ton of manual work. We’ve chosen to partner with Splits through multiple iterations of the protocol and love working with the team.
